There are two methods often recommended for getting the gunk off of glass shower doors. The first involves boiling vinegar. I am a bit of a klutz. If I did not succumb to asphyxia that would be a trip to the ER and then a burn unit. The second involves citrus; using lemon juice to remove the build-up. Forget it. I tried. Using this sand paper is pretty effortless. Just keep it well lubricated with water. This will also polish out the little scratches from attempts with more abrasive methods. I also cleaned up the chrome which is now gleaming like brand new.

I used this 3000 grit, along with a 5000 grit, to remove some scratches from my 2017 Malibu and 2014 Silverado. As you can see in the photos, I was able to make scratches caused from the magnetic base of a CB antenna completely disappear and restore the clear coat. This was accomplished by spraying soapy water onto the area before sanding (aka: wet-sand). After clearing those scratches from the trunk of the car, I moved to my Silverado which had brush scratches everywhere. I was able to wet-sand and polish away every scratch on every panel of the truck and only wore out about 1/4 of the 3000 grit sandpaper, and the 5000 grit sandpaper didn't show any wear at all. Very good product for the price you pay. I will also add a final note that the sandpaper was not the last step in this process! You will need a scratch remover and polish to finish the job.

I bought this (along with some 3 inch by 9 inch flat tiles and an adhesive spray number 77) to sharpen my kitchen knives. With a steady hand I have sharpened my knives. I ask my wife to tell me how sharp they are now over and over until she compliments my work.

A must have in my neighborhood! I live in South Florida, people can't seem to comprehend driving or parking without hitting you car!! Literally, I wake up once a week to another scratch in my truck! This 5000 grit along with the 3000 make simple work of fine scratches. Although if you are using something like Meguiar's Ultimate Compound you might be able to skip the 5000 grit. I use it anyway even if it's overkill. I reconditioned vehicles for a decade, I wish I had these in the early 90's! If you have a scratch wet it, if it disappears while wet that is a good indication it's just in the clear coat and this paper will do the job. Use a good lubricant or soap spray, I personally like Meguiar's waterless wash. Horizontal scratches use a vertical motion and vise versa. These WORK!

Removed several Clear coat scratches quickly. 1-3M Trizact 3000 Grit and soapy water till scratch was not seen when dry - left dull finish 2-3M Trizact 5000 Grit and soapy water feathered out scratch spot -left larger dull finish 3-Buffed w/ Meguiars Ultimate Compound -now everything gone and shiny but slight swirl marks 4-Mequiars Ultimate Polish - took out swirl marks 5-Meguiar's G12718 NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 -Created Smooth finish and paint protection

Plenty of material to do several sets of headlights. - 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 - 5000 (trizact) - compound with some pressure a few times - polish a few times - seal with a good paint sealant (or clearcoat paint)

This package of sandpaper was exactly what I needed to fix a small chip in my hood. I filled it in with some touch-up paint and let it dry before wet-sanding and finally buffing out the scratches. ADVICE: I would advise against doing this kind of repair for a metallic multi-tone paint. Wet-sanding for touch-up paint works best for flat even colors like white and black. Any metallic colored paints or paints with sparkle in it may be noticeable.

A lot of people may think they don't because of the give, but I hand sharpen my own knives with a convex edge, and these make a great strop. Either one will take a knife and even out the bevel, give it a nice smooth appearance, cover up most irregularities from hand sharpening, and basically give a great base to strop higher for a mirror polish, or leave it as it is for kitchen or bushcraft knives that like to have a little more "bite" to their edge.I am going to buy more, and find a waterproof way to mount them on a base so I can properly use their whole surface. These are Silicon Carbide, so they cut most every kind of steel, though it is best to keep them wet when using, and they polish things up to a perfect degree for their grit rating. I couldn't be happier and the price makes these things amazing. I have stropped 7 knives all at least twice, and I just have a little bit of marking on the sheet. Note: if you bend, move, or generally use these things as sandpaper, they will load up . I blame the opening of the sponge material beneath one rounding opening up spaces between the Trizact particles, but it is just a guess. If you plan on using these as strops, ALWAYS use them flat and rinse them. Otherwise, these are great for convex edges, and light on flat grinds. I took my Cold Steel Barong machete from 300-grit to paper-cutting sharp just on these two pieces.they hugged the convex bevel like it was sexy and polished it up nicely in one of the most impressive and time-saving uses I have found for them yet. I recommend for whatever use you have for these things, they are truly awesome

Used to polish hard water and soap scum stains off of my glass shower. Renters apparently didn't know how to clean things and so nearly 10 years of buildup on my glass shower enclosure resisted every kind of chemical assault. However, 15 minutes with 1 piece of this sandpaper had it looking nearly new - and no fumes!

Use these for polishing knife blades to a stupid level of sharpness, also looks pretty once things are all shiny. additionally, a knife with a good polish is far less likely to rust due to how fine the microscopic pits are, this also helps with maintaining and cleaning the blade.
